Eurovision Union’s Weekly Playlist (20/52)

Each week, Eurovision Union is dedicated to bring you a specially curated playlist featuring a whole bunch of our favourite songs from this week, from both national final and Eurovision stars new and old. This week we’ve got a mixed bag of new songs from former Eurovision stars, along with some national final treasures.

Listen to the playlist here:

Let’s start from a nation many Eurovision fans miss, and that’s Turkey! We’ve got the 2010 Turkish representatives maNga with one of our favourite songs by them, titled Beni Benimle Bırak. From Can Bonomo, we’ve got his newest release titled Erkekler de Ağlar featuring his rock sound and wondrous voice. Lastly from the much missed nation is Mor Ve Ötesi, who represented Turkey back in 2008. Today we’ve got their song Aşk İçinde, which is one of our most loved songs from the band.

Coming back to the 2017 Eurovision season, we’ve got new tracks from some of our favourites of the 2017 contest. From Italy’s newest superstar Francesco Gabbani, we’ve got the next single off his new album Magellano, titled Tra le granite e le granate, a real summer hit. We’ve also got a song from the unique interval act  that featured in the Grand Final, ONUKA and titled Vidlik, which was performed as part of the interval act. Lastly, we’ve got the Baron Grand Sunset Remix of 2nd placed Kristian Kostov’s song Beautiful Mess.

From national final stars, we’ve got the newest track from Ukrainian national finalists Melovin, with the song titled Unbroken. From Swedish superstar duo Samir and Viktor we’ve got their new track titled Kung. She’s hotter than fire, much like her new song What You Do, from Polish national finalist in 2016, Margaret. From Italy, we’ve got Michele Bravi with a song called Due Secondi (Cancellare Tutto) which features on his new album Anime di Carta. A national final song itself, we’ve got Take Our Hearts which was performed by Jesper Nohrstedt in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix back in 2012.

From former Eurovision stars, we’ve got everyone’s favourite Swedish star Måns Zelmerlöw with his song Should’ve Gone Home. We’ve also got Anouk, who represented the Netherlands in 2013 with one of her newer tracks titled Blue Motel. From former winner Tanel Padar, we’ve got the song Parem Veelgi, and from former Polish entrant Michal Szpak, we’ve got the title track off his album Byle Byc Soba. We’ve also got former participant and winner for Russia, Dima Bilan.

Keeping with that theme, this week we’ve featured Lithuania’s 2013 participant Andrius Pojavis, who had to tell us something back in 2013, but today we’ve got the song The Gist. From 2015 fan favourites from Italy, we’ve got Il Volo with their Eurovision sensation Grande Amore.

This week we discussed our Top 5 non-qualifiers from 2011, and so we’ve featured Latvian representative Musiqq with their newest song Manā Pilsētā Līst. Lastly, we’ve got 3JS who also made our Top 5 list, however we’ve got the Dutch version of their song Never Alone, titled Je Vecht Nooit Alleen.
